American Power is Black
Maybe Pac said as well as anyone, “ain’t gonna be no peace till a brother get a piece 2.” Every aspect of an invisible culture has built and formed America at its core. But as the legacy of John Lewis reminds us, freedom is up to us. His example is to withstand the brutality of dogs, hoses and night sticks in order to compel the conscious of humanity. How much I have done to honor his life and those of the great warriors of non violence will never be enough, because they created our moment of revolution.
